Think your mower has what it takes to survive the mayhem?

The Iron Horse Mower Mayhem Lawn Mower Demolition Derby gives drivers the chance to battle it out in a one-and-done competition for trophies, bragging rights, and the entire cash purse!

Entry Fee: $30 per driver and mower

Driver registration includes pit admission for the registered driver only. Everyone else entering the pit area must purchase a Pit Pass and follow all Iron Horse Demolition Derby pit rules.

Driver requirements:

• Drivers must be at least 15 years old.

• Drivers age 18 or younger must submit a consent waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

• Helmets, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are required.

• All drivers must attend the mandatory drivers’ meeting.

• All mowers must pass tech inspection before competing.

NO REFUNDS

If the event is rescheduled, valid registrations will remain valid for the rescheduled date.

🔧 Mower Requirements

Participants must bring their own qualifying factory-produced lawn mower.

Required:

• Factory-available lawn mower that retains recognizable factory dimensions and configuration

• Factory lawn-mower engine with a maximum factory rating of 20 HP

• Internally stock engine with the factory governor installed and functional

• Belt-driven factory-style drivetrain

• Factory lawn-mower transaxle

• Working driver-attached kill switch

• Clearly visible number on each side

• Working brakes

• Functioning forward and reverse gears

• Factory-style hood and fenders

• Seat securely mounted in the factory operator location

• Factory front axle retained in its original mounting location

• Lawn-mower wheels and tires

• Mandatory leg guards

• Maximum speed of 12 MPH

Not Allowed:

• Homemade frames

• Rear-engine lawn mowers

• Zero-turn (ZTR) lawn mowers

• Performance engine modifications

• Chain-drive, shaft-drive, or other drivetrain conversions

• Exhaust stacks

• Agricultural, ATV, go-kart, or automobile tires

• Foam-filled or solid tires

• Tire chains

• Dual wheels

• Steel wheels

• Unsafe, pointed, sharp, or protruding modifications

Tractor-tread and cut tires are permitted only when they are manufactured for lawn-mower use.

All mowers must pass tech inspection before competing.

💰 Payout and Awards

100% of the Iron Horse Mower Mayhem driver registration fees collected will make up the cash purse.

The more mowers that enter, the larger the first-place cash purse!

• All mowers must pass tech inspection before competing

• A mandatory drivers’ meeting will be held before the derby

• Unsafe driving or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification

• Failure to follow an official’s instructions may result in disqualification

• Officials’ decisions are final
