🏁 Iron Horse Mower Mayhem

Think your mower has what it takes to survive the mayhem?

The Iron Horse Mower Mayhem Lawn Mower Demolition Derby gives drivers a chance to battle it out in a one-and-done mower derby for trophies, bragging rights, and the entire cash pot!

🚜 Driver Information

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Location: Humboldt Speedway
1663 Georgia Rd, Humboldt, KS 66748

Entry Fee: $30 per driver/mower

Driver registration includes pit admission for the registered driver only.

NO REFUNDS

Driver Requirements:

  • Drivers must be at least 15 years old

  • Drivers 18 years old and younger must have a consent waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian

  • All drivers must attend the mandatory driver’s meeting

  • All mowers must pass tech inspection before competing

🎟️ Pit Access

  • The $30 driver/mower registration includes pit admission for the registered driver only

  • Anyone else entering the pit area must purchase a Pit Pass

  • All pit attendees must follow Iron Horse Demolition Derby pit rules

🔧 Mower Requirements

Participants must bring their own qualifying factory-produced lawn mower.

Required:

  • Factory-available lawn mower

  • Working driver-attached kill switch

  • Clearly visible number on each side

  • Working brakes

  • Functioning forward and reverse gears

  • Factory-style hood and fenders

  • Lawn mower-type wheels

  • Leg guards

  • Maximum engine size of 20 HP

  • Maximum speed of 12 MPH

Not Allowed:

  • Homemade frames

  • Rear-engine lawn mowers

  • Zero-turn (ZTR) lawn mowers

  • Exhaust stacks

  • Foam-filled or solid tires

  • Tire chains

  • Dual wheels

  • Unsafe or sharp modifications

All mowers must pass tech inspection before competing.

🪖 Driver Safety

  • Helmets are mandatory

  • Long pants are required

  • Closed-toe shoes are required

  • A working driver-attached kill switch must be securely attached to the driver while competing

  • Drivers must follow all instructions from event officials

💰 Payout & Awards

100% of Mower Mayhem driver registration fees collected make up the cash pot.

🥉 3rd Place - Trophy

The more mowers that enter, the bigger the 1st Place cash payout!

💥 Event Format

Iron Horse Mower Mayhem is intended to be a single, one-and-done demolition derby.

All eligible mowers that pass inspection will compete together unless officials determine the number of entries requires otherwise.

  • Drivers must remain actively engaged

  • No sandbagging

  • Normal demolition derby contact is allowed

  • No intentional hits directly to another driver’s body or leg area

  • No intentional hits to a rolled-over mower or mower declared out

  • Drivers must stop when directed by officials

⚠️ Important Notes

  • All mowers must pass tech inspection before competing

  • A mandatory driver’s meeting will be held before the derby

  • Unsafe driving or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification

  • Failure to follow an official’s instructions may result in disqualification

  • Officials’ decisions are final

  • No refunds

  • If the event is rescheduled, valid registrations will remain valid for the rescheduled date
